This app is so bad it had to have been designed to be crap. You couldnt unintentionally be this bad.

June 5, 2017 I stand by my previous review. If they fixed any bugs, I dont see it. This is Cr-app!!!!!! Who cares if I pay $159 a month for DIRECTV? I know they dont!!! Time to hire new developers? ----------------------------------------/ May 13, 2017 This app gets worse and worse. These guys couldnt write an app for a commodore vic20. The only feature that would make this so better is if it automatically deleted itself from my phone and gave me the wasted time back to my lifespan. I will summarize what every other review says. 1. Dont bother trying to fast forward 2. Downloaded content issues A. Audio sync issues B. Why does app need a network connection to play downloaded content? Forgot airplane mode. C. Video/audio sync issues 3. RW/FF controls are great for childlike fingers. You best be precise to use them. Assume you cant. 4. I have spent the last hour just trying to getting the channels to load. 5. Video abruptly stops playing frequently 6. Remote control constantly has to reacquire the receiver list 7. They have an "auto-prepare" feature that creates a downloadable version of your DVR recorded shows. THE SETTING SWITCH RANDOMLY TURNS ITSELF TO "OFF" 8. At random times, even if you reboot your DVR and then phone, you cannot access DVR recorded shows or an updated playlist. 9. They have a "NETWORK ASSISTANT" that crashes on my phone 100% of the time. My guess is ATT has all of their resources dedicated to improving the DIRECTV Now app, and are screwing us satellite TV subscribers by not incrementally updating like EVERY other tv provider!!

I joined DIRECTV less than a month ago and although the picture quality is good they are a shady company in my opinion. I just tried to use their app and I now have to agree to an end user agreement that sounds a little invasive. Ive had more than one after the fact surprise with them and now Im thinking I may have made a mistake subscribing.

The most irritating app Ive ever came across! So many frustrating problems ever since it came out and now wont even work get stuck at logo and initializing screen waste of time and money! DONT GET IT!

I use the app everyday. It has been a mess for the last few days (since the IOS and app updates). Unusable right now. Lets get it fixed.

This is a good app but my issue thus far is that when you close the app after watching a recording or show then return in a few minutes or the next day to finish watching it, the show starts over from the beginning. There is no fast forward or rewind that doesnt take several minutes for you to return to the spot you left off from. The ones on the app are for 15 and 30 second increments ??Another issue I have is that the app completely shuts down for no reason while you are watching it and then you have to start the show from the beginning.

I love that I can watch my shows on my iPhone. I HATE that if I pause it for a minute, the app frequently will "forget" its place making me start episode from beginning....with no fast forward function....also hate the commercials. (Insert angry face!!)

I had issues with connecting my iPhone. Its working consistently now so Im happy... I can see the improvement in the app as they update it

cant always get shows and cant get the NBA Finals which is a bummer ???

Doesnt stream through 10 minutes uninterrupted on anything on any channel, even on Wi-Fi. Utter garbage

I enjoy being able to stream live TV but I do deal with a lot of lag time in the video. Its not an issue with Wifi because my connection is good.

Can watch my favorite shows anywhere even without wifi

almost everytime i go on this app i get logged out and it is so annoying please fix it

Cant even get past the login screen. It just goes right back to it after I login
