Terrible App!

I upgraded my DVR and extended my contract just so I could use this app. It doesnt work. I even had a DIRECTV technician try to make the app work and he could not get it to work either. If I had known the app would not work, I would have cancelled my service and went with Spectrum. Now Im stuck in a recently renewed contract!

Cant even log on to the app with the new update

Needs work

While this app eventually delivers video, the journey to find the video I want is circuitous and hampered by way too many other functions. The user experience sorely needs to be streamlined to deliver one of two things: whats on NOW and whats on my DVR at home. EVERYTHING ELSE is secondary and needs to get out of the way. Also, quickly stepping out of the app to do something else (read/send a message for example) is literally a showstopping maneuver. To get back to your video can require another 30-60 second initialization process. Itd be fantastic if the app completely supported AirPlay, as well.

Protect Purchases

Trying to watch WGN - Keep getting error message that receiver is in use or being used by other devices. My channels keep getting removed. Even when set to All Channels in settings. When I did a search for the channel, it said the show was not currently on Live tv, even though it was.

Says I need to update

Says I need to update but it is updated. Wont open!

Please fix this problem

This app takes forever to open. I have only had it for a few days now and its not logging in. When I open the app, the only thing that shows is a black screen with the directv logo on it. When I first started using it, I would be in the middle of watching a show and exit the app for example to reply to a message or something and when I got back on the app it didnt bring me back to where I was. It started all over and made me search to find where I was and restarted the entire show.

App & viewing online is just no good!!!

Im leaving Directtv .. your commercials claim to be able to view online, computers, phone etc.. its just not the truth at all .. you cost way to much for me to want to watch something and then it not be available .. Im leaving you., not that your care!! to many other options that dont cost as much..

Good

It works very well and it allowed me to watch tv wherever I am. But the only problem is it does not have all the movies or shows that I want to watch.

App frozen

Is it just me or is the app freezing when hitting play?? Ive been watching movies and shows just fine, not today its not playing. Ive also ran other apps to see if its my phone, and nope all other apps run perfect. Please FIX!!! Need my movies on the go!!

Enhanced DirectTV Experience.

Shows recorded on my DVR on the go? Set movies/shows from my phone to record? Live TV wherever I am? Great app for DTV users.

I love it

After reading other peoples reviews I was hesitant on downloading this app, however my experience with the app hasnt been bad at all. I would like to point out that it is easier to stream when connected to wifi but that goes for any app so its not a big issue.

Used to be 1 of my favorite apps. I have 2 accounts that I manage, and the app will not log off of an account. The app auto logs on. There used to be a setting to control this. Now I cant manually sign in. Poor!

In a word...disappointed!

This app is VERY unreliable when it comes to streaming live TV. I have a long commute and typically try to watch the news on my daily commute. The app sporadically closes at times for no apparent reason. It also freezes a lot...I mean A LOT. Its very frustrating that DIRECTV and AT&T promise you can access unlimited streaming service and on top of that I pay for unlimited data yet I still cant use the service as advertised by AT&T. This is a ridiculous way to treat long term loyal customers.

Used to work, now it wont recognize me

Ive been using the iPhone and iPad app for about 2 years now. Up until today, its worked pretty well but after todays update to the latest version,I cannot even log in remotely. I can log in online on safari, but using the same creds in the App fails???? I get multiple error messages about using the correct passcode, check my router or internet connections, etc even though other wifi apps let me log in the my DirecTv creds?? Frustrating because the NBA finals are about to start. Guess Ill use the Abc App which works fine.

Simply the best

If you are a sports and food but like me you need DirectTV. If you do not have you are missing out! The customer service if there is an issue is the best!!

I like it.

It can be a little slow sometimes. And it doesnt show the local channels, live. But, overall, I think its pretty good.
