When I first started using this app is was great. Since the last update I can no longer log in, retrieve username and password, or reset my account because we do not have AT&T. Although we have direct tv our account is with Verizon, rendering the app useless.

All the bells and whistles anyone could ever need for home and on the move with my iPhone. Im learning new things I can do on my iPhone all the time. Today on my iPhone I scheduled a tv series to be recorded at home on my iPhone. As long as you have an internet connection you got it made.

I cant even sign in anymore. Something is terribly wrong with this app. PLEASE FIX IT!!!

This app never works for me. I deleted and downloaded it again and this time it just doesnt open! Same with the att app. At least it opens but I can never watch what I want or it just keeps thinking and never airs a thing!!

Cant get past initialization and log in...total waste.

Was a four and now worthless. I cant get it to work.

The app leaves a lot to be desired. It does not matter wether on wifi or cellular but I cannot even make it through a program with the app freezing and me having to reset it. This is even the case with programs on demand through the different networks. The app is awesome in theory, but it drives me crazy to the point I want to throw my iPhone 6 Plus at the wall. You would think with the amount of funding spent promoting this app that it would half way work. Very disappointed AT&T, and DIRECTV customer for over ten years.. -Mike

Update: 30 June, 2017 I apologize to DeVry. Theres no way they would have let these people graduate. Now app cant even find the DVR after this latest update. Update: 23 June, 2017 Bimonthly update confirming that entire programming team clearly graduated from DeVry. Steps to make app crash: 1. Launch app 2. Attempt to use app Update: 07 April, 2017 Just want to make sure the horrendous mess that is this app is still articulated for the most recent version, which now utilizes so much processor time to decode video that youll be lucky to get 2 hours of playback on an iPhone 7-plus. I didnt think the app could get worse than it was for my prior review, so congratulations to the software "engineers", I guess? Prior review: This app just gets worse and worse. Since integrating the previously terrible GenieGo app into this one, they have somehow managed to make both parts simultaneously worse. The bugs are too numerous to count, but most recently I spent hours this morning slowly downloading shows only to have the app crash and then delete every last one once I left on my trip. The worst part: the app is still taking up all of the storage space for said shows! My only regret is that the App Store doesnt allow for negative stars.

01Jul17 In the pass I have given a higher rating, but since I use the App to record (to other DVR) every day I have gotten more disillusioned. Mainly, after setting up a program to record if you plan on recording another program the Guide automatically jumps back to current time so you have to again set the time & date. This makes scanning the guide very difficult. And resetting the time and date every time, well its frustrating. I havent used other features as yet.

When I attempted to watch SyFy today, got message saying that SyFy is Not available with my current programming package!!! The &@$! It isnt!! After several calls to DIRECTV, and several attempts by them to remedy this problem, (not to mention an email saying that the problem was resolved!?) Im Still unable to watch SyFy! One of the main reasons that I have DIRECTV is Because of SyFy! I may be an old lady, but I dont watch the freaking Cooking and Knitting channels! All I can say is that I want this resolved ASAP! At least AMC isnt affected! If I couldnt watch Fear The Walking Dead, TWD, Preacher or Humans, theyd not hear the end of me until the issue was resolved! ?

This interface on this app is horrible. I had dish for years and the app on there was much better. Their is no option for sd, hd and audio only when watching live tv. Also the movies you transfer over to your tablet is not hd. I tried watching one of my shows the other day from my friends house and it didnt let me watch it unless I was at home. On the dish app I could watch any channel, any show off my DVR and everything was hd. Also some movies I transferred on to my kids tablet said it will work only for 30 days then after that you cant ever put it on the tablet again. On dish you could have them forever. I hate this app. Fix it. Make it better. Im going back to dish for tv once my two years is up.

Ugh... one of my biggest issues with this app is when I want to watch a TV show that is 2 hours in length, it only plays 1 hour of the program. Also, when a show airs on Monday, is like to watch it by Tuesday but sometimes it doesnt become an option to watch on my iPhone until Saturday and that is very annoying. My third issue is the commercials and buffering time. It takes me like never to get through the commercials alone than the whole show itself!

This app has always been terrible but the forced update has made everything worse. Useless. Cuts off audio when app is opened. Defaults to wrong DVR. Changing length of recording kicks you back to guide. Doesnt list channel on program page. List could go on forever. Makes SiriusXM app seem good, and thats not a compliment.

What happened to the app nothing works now. We cant watch movies on the go, like you advertise. I would like a refund please thats the only reason I went to Direct TV. You better hurry!
