DIRECTV App Reviews

After a couple weeks, I was able to connect to the DVR suddenly. I have been able to watch recorded shows on the iPhone consistently for the last 3 weeks. I changed from 1 to 4 stars. 6/12/17 Until recently it worked ok. This version fails to connect to the DVR so you can watch recordings. But you waste your time trying. Fittingly, the App Support link takes you to a screen that says "Page Not Found".

Its easier to set the dvr with the app than with the in house remote.

Absolute piece of annoying garbage, doesnt work at all. DIRECTV must not want its customers to be able to use this app and must take pleasure in tormenting them. To add insult to injury an annoying box keeps popping up asking if u love the app A big F U from DIRECTV to the people who pay them the highest rates in cable. How do these people sleep?

If it loads, works great. Half the time it wont even let me login. If they could fix that then itd be a great app.

TROUBLE with the app!!! And now trouble writing the review!!! This is my 4th attempt!!! This is my first review to write. I always read the reviews before I purchase a product but Ive NEVER written one!!! First my rates double in 6months now this!!! I knew I dropped Direct tv years ago for a reason but was hoping things had changed!! But sadly they have not!!! Cant wait until my contract is up!!!

iPhone 7 iOS 10.3.2 can only watch about 30 seconds of live tv and then the piece of crap awful app resets back to home screen. If you have anything to do with the development of this app please kill yourself.

Does absolutely nothing. Cant watch anything!

This app does not work. Just stays on black screen. Wont log in. This is false advertising on the part of AT&T and direct tv. The app does not work so free steaming on your devices is a lie.

I loved so much that I would buy it if it cost money

Even though you have to have a account you can still record and go back to the tv show or movie!!

App is almost worthless. Youd think with all the tech behind ATT/DirecTV that theyd have something amazing. Id settle for functional. I swear the only reason we keep this service is for NFL Sunday ticket. But even now Im rethinking that. 1) Doesnt always show full playlist. 2) Downloaded movies dont always show up. 3) My channels dont always appear. 4) If I have to pause and open something else up on my phone, the app often doesnt calibrate correctly and I have to shut it off and start the process all over. 5) Dont even get me started on the iPad. UGH

This app is freaken awesome!

The app stinks and keep getting worse!!! Constantly locks up and shuts down and when I call support no one can help or even knows anything! My daughter has xfinity and she said it works great! One would think the idiots who program the app would work around the clock to correct the problems! I guess they are just too dumb to fix it! Are they even looking at these reviews?

Unfortunately this app is the worst one I have. It takes a long time to start up I get so many different errors as to why I cant watch what I want to see It needs to be redone If I want to watch a certain channel, I have to use that channels app as the direct tv app either wont display it, may cut it off during the middle of the show or make me jump through hoops in order to get it going I cant always get the choices between iPad, iPhone, computer or tv when its clearly on air The best thing the app is good for is changing the channel for you. Its better than using the remote. Other than that its almost useless.

This is a great app
