There is absolutely no excuse for an app from a company like Direct TV to be this poor and unusable. My kids my wife consume the TVS in the evenings; so I like or would like to be able to watch my sports and news through the App. It has to be the single most frustrating activity of the day it ruins my evenings over and over again. So I have to go to their ridiculous dvr and watch recording that again dont work on the App. I am thinking of switching back to Time Warner their App worked perfectly every single time and I miss that usability. Direct TV takes my money and then doesnt produce people are mobile you idiots.

This is seriously one of the worst apps I have ever seen!! Ive had it for almost a year now with DirecTV. It is so poorly designed it is laughable. Its impossible to find anything on it. DirecTV needs to go back to the drawing board with this app. The ATT U-verse app by the way is perfect!! They need to copy that app!!
The app crashes multiple times in one show and in a really fun twist *insert eye roll* you cant use the fast forward or rewind features. So when it crashes and you lose your place in the show, you have to start ALL OVER AND WATCH ALL THE COMMERCIALS.
The latest update is all but unusable. EVERY operation is very slow. From initialization to login to getting the recently watched & Live streaming selections - every step takes 30 seconds or more. What used to take 15 - 20 seconds for the app to start up before streaming could begin is now several minutes. After that, you had better like the show you select because you cannot get back to the channel guide to switch to another. You have to exit the app and start all over. If you can avoid it, do not download this "upgrade". Update: I reset my iPhone (power/home button) and the app works better so far. This is a basic oversight their testing shouldve caught.
Ever since the update I cant get my local channels. Thats why I miss dish network, their app works great.
Handy when away from home.
I like the app when Im home I can watch my shows but Im a truck driver I sleep in my truck a lot it would be nice to use it to watch shows that are on my DVR while Im on the road
I use the app on my iPhone 7. It constantly stops and starts EVEN WHEN I HAVE FULL SIGNAL. Its to the point of being ridiculous. Please do something about it. The app needs work and it seems like you guys just dont care! I mean you have a star and a half and you dont think you might have a problem??!!
Switching back to my previous cable company. Directv cant get it together. I purchased an entire package that doesnt work, not just the app.
Horrible app , cant even get my locals channels or local sports coverage.
Every time I turn around I find new ways to hate this app. Now I cant play my DVR outside of the home!?! Constant errors. Worst. App. Ever.
I have to start this off by saying I am usually using these types of apps while working out on a tred mill, I dont have time to mess around with poorly written software. It crashes, sometimes it doesnt keep track of when I last stopped viewing, forced to watch 2-3 comercials every 20 min, Sometimes doesnt keep track of which episodes Ive viewed, when I click on the "search field" rather than behaving like a "search field" it behaves like a button opening a second page where I now have to click on the same spot to get my keyboard to pop up. Just really cant anticipate what this app is going to do next.

App continues to "Initialize" but doesnt work.
What happened. This was working now nothing. I lost my remote a while ago and this app is what I use to watch stuff. Kids miss their shows.
Please fix the recently updated version of this app...it is no longer working properly and wont even let me sign in.
