The streaming service is ABSOLUTE CRAP!!! The app constantly turns off for noappatent reason as well as other issues I wont even waste my time enumerating. AVOID ATT and DIRECTV their service is abysmal even if by some miracle you can get hold of someone. Use another service provider other than ATT.

This app is horrible. Ive been on the phone with them countless times and they continue to give me the run around that their app works, its my device. It dont work on any of our family devices, which is 6. Must be coincidence.

Works great and I use it often. It would be even better if you could cast it to chromecast etc.

I love how if you go on vacation and forget to record after you already left you can do it all on your phone

Downloaded the app onto two iPhones and the app wont open. You get to the login and then it goes to a AT&T black screen. How can you sell this service as part fo the DTV package yet not deliver? Youre killing me AT&T. Please fix this immediately.

The best tv provider

Waste! App used to work and now for months wont load. Allows for log in but then sits with black screen. Have called support a number of times but they always have something different to try to provide as to why it wont work. Frustrating.

Update 7/24/17 They have fixed some of the issues, the phone app starts now and actually functions, slowly. So its up to 2 stars from one now. The viewer is still slow and poorly designed. The watch app is completely dysfunctional. It only returns "loading program" message. No one else would dare to put this rubbish in the App Store. Please Google, bring You Tube TV to the rest of the country. Update 3/26/17 Now the media content apps (HGTV, NBS Sports...) cannot login using DIRECTV as the provider. Their chat support app fails to give the user a keyboard. The incompetence and apathy at AT&T and DIRECTV is overwhelming! Update 3/21/17 3 years later and they still hate their users! They updated their iPhone app so that it now does nothing. No kidding, nothing! Enter the credentials, and I get the Directv logo, a hot phone with and no battery after 30 minutes. $130 a month for this? By the way, their downloaded content viewer is still terrible. Original This app is kind of an afterthought. Recording a show requires a lot of patience. Usually 2 or more tries of 5 minutes each. Trying to use the playlist "feature" is absolute torture. Playing a downloaded show will make you cry! They have removed the fast forward and reverse controls in favor of a linear scrubbing control that is unresponsive and disappears after 5 seconds. After 3 tries at scrubbing, the app freezes. What have we as DirecTVs customers done to make them hate us so much?

This is terrible. I have downloaded the app multiple times and when I open it, it asks about the license agreement so I agree to it. Then it goes to a black screen with the ATT logo with Direct TV out next to it. Does nothing else. Not able to do anything. I dont even get a log in screen.

Update:Terrible is really not strong enough. App crashes all the time. I switched from Dish and completely regret it. My family hates it too. The app is awful. Shuts down for no reason. Constant errors. The Dish app is much more user friendly. Plus my family hates the fact you cant access Netflix through Directv box like you could via Hopper. Cant wait for my 2 years to be up.

Very convenient & easy to use. My husband works out of town and is always on the road, now he can watch his favorite shows any time no matter where he is. Thanks Direct TV.

I didnt have any problems when I first got DirecTV and the app a month or so ago, but the past few weeks I cant even login to use it. I have the correct login info, and when I try to login, the app just shows a black screen with the DirecTV logo. Itd be great to have an app that would actually work.

I pulled the up up so I could watch a Nascar race. The app told me the race was not on TV. When in turned on my TV and turned to the local NBC affiliate the race was on. This app is also very difficult to use. Deserves less than one star.

Definitely not like watching your regular TV. But not bad for the road. My kids like to watch their favorite shows while in the car. I havent had any issues with it.

They could add more channels such as NFL network and MLB

Ive not had any problems. I can watch my DVR. Live stream. I use it a lot

This app doesnt even work for me. Have uninstalled and reinstalled and still just shows me the logo and doesnt do anything.
