I dont have any problems with this app. I love that I can take my DIRECTV with me on long car rides! I love that I dont have to have a TV in every room I can use my iPad or even my phone.
6 months ago I would have rated this app one star but some major improvements, but still a bit more improvements before I can hand it a 5 star.
Just cant watch tv without it.

Most recent update has completely disabled my dvr on my iPhone. I had ten or twelve downloaded shows was consistently watching everything wa stunning smooth. But now when I go to "register my dvr" which I never had to do before the app freezes and I have to restart it and start all over. Laughable. App is in terrible condition. Come one guys...
App does nothing at all. Like everything with ATT, marketing gets customers then they never deliver.
App wont record after it was updated today! Older version was ok, didnt need an update. On my iPhone 5, it is now useless Please FIX THIS! 6/15/2017 Still a terrible app. Channel sits there and says loading all the time and wont start. Totally useless. DirecTV says you can watch your programming when you are not home, they released the app but it doesnt work. I think this is Fraud! With a name like DirecTV and AT&T you think these fat cats could get it right! Its all fancy marketing, glitzy advertisements, colorful splash screens, but you get products that dont work. Welcome to USA.
First things first I have unlimited on my wifi and Im grandfathered in for unlimited data on my iPhone. With that being said I havent had any problems downloading movies from my dvr to watch on my Phone at a remote location, streaming live tv, or using my phone to record shows onto my dvr. Everyone once in a while it will give me an error code but no major issues like slot of people are having. So at this time its A+ 5 star rating from me. Oh, my son and husband use this app and watch tv etc without any issues.
This app does not work. I have the at&t/direct tv bundle and no matter what I try, nothing works. It doesnt recognize my login info or it says loading and then the screen goes black. I know my info is correct because it works on my pc. Customer service is useless for this problem. Dont waste your time. Direct tv, you need to fix this app or stop using It as a selling point.

The app was working great but after the update I can no longer get on my playlist... It tries to load but never does ? I use this app a lot please fix this problem...
Whats going on? My iPhone connected to TV works for everything except on this app. I get audio but no video. My iPhone image is mirrored on the TV until I start trying to view a DIRECTV show; thats when the video goes away. The combo of these 2 things, AT&T wireless and DirecTV, is why I got off cable. Plus the app is laid out illogically. Its hard to do the same thing 2 times in a row. Too much detail to enter here but come on, give me a decision tree that is complete and comprehensible. I dont think these programmers ever actually use the app.
I am with Verizon and it was working great, but since a month ago, it start working really bad I cant watch anything, its a bummer because I used to watch soccer games and I used to work great... very disappointing....
Love that I can set my DVR to record stuff when Im not even home. This has saved me from missing some favorites. I also appreciate the accurate Guide - shows are on when and where the app says. Dont watch live streaming, but have watched shows on my DVR on my phone with zero problems. Great app.
Doesnt work, very frustrating
Cant get past the AT&T/DirectTV logo. It goes through initializing, verifying, logging in and then nothing!! Tried EVERYTHING and nothing works. Customer service told me not to call back. They would notify me when it was fixed!! I wasnt rude at all!! I should have been with that response. And dont bother clicking on the app support button, "page does not exist". Are you kidding me?? Id say dont waste your money but its free. But then again so is dog crap and just about as useful. Someone please address this issue. It was a major selling point when I bundled!!!
Have downloaded this app and used it for over 9 months and it seems to get worse even with updates. Very buggy. The app is not very intuitive and its streaming while using cellular cuts off at times even if I have at least 3 bars. If I want to watch on my iPhone why do I have to click 3 different times before streaming....watch tv, pick a channel, then it asks on iPhone? Duh....why doesnt it already know that. So annoying.
I love that I can record a program when Im away from home! I wish more channels available on iPhone app.
So disappointed. Takes forever to load content I dont want but have to wait to choose the DVR option. Loads wrong content and crashes constantly. Needs a LOT of work.
