Helpful to use when on the road to set up recordings which I had forgotten to do. Sometimes gets glitches when trying to find receivers.
Worst update yet. I use this app often and it keeps getting worse with every update. Cant update programs after 12-8. Whatever genius is designing this update should go back to school.
They need to fix it because it never loads and its very glitchy.

This app is just garbage. Nothing really works. Even when i would start watching my playlist programs with Att data it never works as it takes a long time to load up about 5 or 6 ads after each break. Btw eventually ill be switching up with another cable company..!!!
This app is horrible but I have no choice if I want to watch TV on my phone or tablet. Cant EVER just watch a show. It freezes, tells you a program that youve been watching cant be streamed, drops and all kinds of other stuff. I dont have a TV in my bedroom cause I like to watch on my iPhone 7 or my iPad but I may do it anyway. I like to watch/listen to TV all around my house. Had Time Warner/Frontier but quit cause of all the ridiculous pricing. I do like the DTV on my TV but the app......awful, terrible but better than nothing. Frontier app 100 times better. Im looking at others reviews and really suspect. Come on how can it be 1 star & 4 or 5 stars for others. Honestly when my contract Im not having any cable, or any other service. Too expensive to not be able to take advantage of outside (or even inside) the house on devices other than the TV. This service made me decide. Id rather just go directly to the app site and watch stuff.
Thought this was a great idea until I found out that not all my channels come with me when I leave my house! False advertising! Their answer is there are restrictions.If you are paying for a certain package then those channels should be available for you to watch ANYWHERE through the app! Cant wait for my contract to end!
I admit I like this app as it is convenient even with the crashes, freezing, etc. I chalk some of that to bad wifi. The BIG problem with the new app update is no more schedule view on the phone app for live streaming. Seeing the channel name with no idea whats on defeats the purpose of selecting live streaming. You have to click the channel to see whats on... WHY?!? So frustrating. Oh, and that AUD channel autoplay HAS GOT TO GO!
Heres what needs to be fixed please-agree with other reviewers this app is unstable: 1. Info from DVR should be real time. When I first started using the app there were shows from my no longer functioning DVR in the list. The list does not stay up to date with shows that have been deleted. 2. Make the fast forward button bigger-its hard to use on a phone screen. 3. Downloading shows is annoying. Sometimes the green arrow for downloadable shows is available, sometimes its not. 4. Why is there no sound on some of my downloaded shows? They recorded from the TV fine.
This app works great! It is so easy to access anywhere I go and the programming is completely compatible whether I am on the go or at home. Much appreciated , Its nice having technology that works for a change.
You cant stream content reliably beyond one mobile device. Doesnt matter how many receivers you have replaced or how many times you reset everything. The app doesnt work. Period. Terrible, terrible, terrible app.
Tech show a few features but the ones if "explained without a demo" dont work When called technical support they pass the problem onto the Internet they team up with AT&T and theyre a joke because theyre not 24 hours shouldve stayed with their competitor Dish
So i tried to sign on and got error message about username and password. Had the same one with directv for 20 years. Tried to change was directed to At&T site. Changed but got same error message. Called directv. Got India whose system was down. Got tech support who reset. Tried to logon. Said username and password invalid. Deleted app.

I recently switched from Uverse to DirecTV and was able to control receivers with my iPhone. The remote app for DirecTV screws up the receiver, has no keypad and at best allows you to go up or down a channel. Its useless!
This app is so convenient and easy! I love that I can catch up on all my shows from my phone if I cant catch them while Im away.
As an app developer myself, I hate to report app problems in reviews but DirecTV ignores their feedback email (they just send an automated email with a FAQ that is only vaguely related to the problem being reported). If a show overruns its normal timeslot by a minute, the guide displays that show in the next half-hour time slot, even though that show only occupies 1 minute of the 30 minutes. For example, tonight (12/15/2016), there are two consecutive episodes of "The Big Bang Theory" on CBS. The first one runs from 8:00 to 8:31. Since the second episode doesnt start until 8:31, the first episode is displayed in the guide for the 8:30 timeslot. There is no way to view the second episode in the guide since it ends at 9:00 (the 9:00 show is displayed in the 9:00 timeslot in the guide). I have written to their feedback email (the link in the app) several times, but like I said, they ignore these emails. 07/14/2017: I just noticed another annoyance with the guide. I dont know if it was introduced with the latest update or if its been there all along. Say its 4 oclock in the afternoon and I want to check out whats on at 8 PM tonight. I bring up the guide and select to view 8 PM. That works, but if I select to view the details of any show, the guide whips back to 4 PM after the details window is dismissed. Its VERY annoying to have to select the time again EVERY time the details of a show are viewed!!!

WHAT A PIECE OF GARBAGE! I use the app on my iPhone 7. It constantly stops and starts EVEN WHEN I HAVE FULL SIGNAL. Its to the point of being ridiculous. Please do something about it. The app needs work and it seems like you guys just dont care! I mean you have a star and a half and you dont think you might have a problem??!! Theres shows on my DVR that show sometimes and not others. The. Theyll show and be gone minutes later. THIS APP IS HORRIBLE! WHAT A WASTE OF TIME IT IS!!!!!
