App does not work! It stops within five seconds of starting, every single time... Im deleting it!!! ????????

Works way better then it used too, I think its great!

I used the DIRECTV App to catch up on shows while using the treadmill. Two birds with one stone. Now it wont even load. It says "logging on" but it never does. Ive been using the app for a few months now and this problem just started Tuesday. I think if they can fix this problem, I will edit my review to 5 stars, because I really liked it when it would actually open.

Besides being a VERY slow program guide, it serves no other function. Says Im not on my home network when I clearly am, watching live video is rarely successful, and the download function has never worked. Like many things with DIRECTV, quality and reliability are in a downward spiral.

AT&T your tech organization has really messed up the app that the original Directv created. Now ..Their isnt a way to select a program by date & time. PLEASE FIX your mistakes!

This app is such a disappointment. I pay for Directv service and this is the best that they can do? Frozen pictures, clunky searches, search results full of unavailable stuff. And dont dare try to use any other functions on your iPhone (like adjusting your screen brightness or looking at a text message) or you will get kicked out of your program and have trouble finding your way back to where you were just seconds ago. Please improve your app!!! Ask for help from professional developers if you need some help.

Ive enjoyed the app immensely while Att charges a heftier fee for some of its cable ! While I feel like with the long hours I work I dont get to watch the cable I pay for I can sometimes sneak a movie or a show in because of this app

Love it, works great on my iPhone. Very convenient to watch all my shows and I live way out in the country where theres no cable.

Why in the golden age of technology and every other streaming service allowing HD downloads and one of the largest tech companies still thinks g 480p is acceptable? Seriously, wanting to watch your DVR while traveling is terrible! I can barley get thru it on an iPhone plus, but on an iPad just forget about it. 480p stream and 480p downloads...cmon its 2017 lets get with the times!! My home DVR is all HD so downloading straight from said stream should be HD as well.

I have received notifications for the past 30 days to update to the latest version of the app. I resisted bc I like for bugs to be worked out, but eventually I was forced to do so. I cannot use the new app. Every operation leads to a refresh that does not stop. Who ruined one of the best apps in the industry??? Fire them.

I struggle to get my DVR queue to even load and when and if it does, the app loads and crashes. Very annoying!

Why does it show almost all my DVR on the app when Im home on Wifi, but when Im at our camper only 5 shows come up? And then when I want to watch live shows it wont show up on my tv when plugged in, but recorded shows do? We went with AT&T so we could use this app. We pay Well over a hundred for basic Direct TV service, for that price we should have amazing service. So disappointed.

I used to watch and record shows from my phone but now the app wont even initialize..what a complete joke..guess its Atts way to reduce network congestion..if the app wont work then people cant watch the free data less tv. Im seriously switching providers in about a week or so if its not corrected. I hope you read this Att!

7/12/2017 Wont work on iPad or iPhone after latest update!!!!! 3/19/17 ***UPDATE*** App wont work at all now!!! ***UPDATE*** This app is almost worthless now!!! I updated my iPhone 6s Plus to iOS 10.2 because Apple kept sending me "NAG MESSAGES"! ? So after updating, the DirecTV app cant find my HR-54 on the "same WIFI network" AND... when trying to stream on 4g LTE (20mbps btw), I get major buffering issues and the audio stops working after about 10 or 15 minutes, so then I have to change the channel to something else and then go back to the channel I want to watch... EVERY TIME!!! I also get an error message "cant stream from this device" after I click the home button and then open the DirecTV app back up... so after clicking the play button multiple times and clearing the error message (to watch the same channel), it will finally start to load (slowly). The error message that it "cant stream from this device" is absolute nonsense and ANNOYING... because after the 3rd try, it works!? So remove that stupid error message and replace it with, "Please Wait" or something... (if it needs time to load)!? Please fix this version to adjust for iOS 10.2 operation if that is what is causing it!!!! ***OLD REVIEW*** Pre iOS 10.2*** Its getting better! I hate to admit that since AT&T took over, the app has improved significantly! No more days of when you had audio but no picture! ? I wish they would make the guide remember where you were after checking a show out!? After looking at a show and then youd move back to the guide menu, it automatically scrolls back to the top of the channel list ?, so then youd have to scroll all the way back down to where you were before EVERY TIME!! ? It is very, very annoying!!! ?

I think the people writing the reviews are mainly just. As experience. Its worked really well even when Im on 4G instead of LTE and its easy to work.

After abandoning this app after figuring out Data Free TV actually shows up as data on my phone (?), I was almost hooked back in after learning I could download my shows! Watched an episode of American Ninja Warrior and Americas Got Talent with no problems off of internet. Unfortunately, reloading the app this week to download a movie, I saw that only half of my DVR showed up. My two movies were already on my device, but I couldnt download any additional shows or even play half my DVR! Back down to two stars for me, five stars when I can actually download my stuff and watch ESPN on the go without getting my data bill sucked up.

This app is totally useless. The app refreshes the content EVERY THIRTY SECONDS forcing you back to the top of the screen. Each time I scroll down, the refresh puts me Back to the top of the screen. And I was forced to upgrade to it by Direct tv. A message popped up on the old version saying I had to upgrade and there was no way to use the old version anymore.
