Good when it works

Too glitchy. Too sluggish. Too unstable. Crashes and freezes too often. When you resume, the app dont...it starts all over. Getting to your favorites then getting them to play is a test of patience, it requires too many clicks on a sluggish platform. Just put my favorites on my home screen and make them one click access. Done! Really simple.

Download mode does. It work

This has been an issue from day one. If on long flight make sure you have backup content to watch as most of time you it does not work.

Data free tv anywhere when you have ATT!!

DIRECTV has changed the game, everywhere and anywhere I want to watch my shows, on my DVR or live tv. The best part is I am an ATT customer so my data is not spent even when I stream all day! Love it!! I cancelled all of my other subscriptions because all I watch is the app when I am not home enjoying my DIRECTV.

Not bad at all.

The app of course could use some improvements, but its a good alternative if you dont want to pay for HBO app separately for just GoT.

Unreliable and is a complete failure after DVR upgrade.

After upgrading the DVR in my home from an HR44 to an HR54/700, the mobile app no longer functions. I cant watch any TV channel, cant record any shows and cant access the DVR recordings even on wifi. Apparently DIRECTV has some major failure if you upgrade you home equipment. 4 technicians later and the only thing they can come up with is to send a tech to my home to see the error in person!! Wow. I sent screenshots of all the app errors, but not good enough. What a waste. Wish we could get uverse here. We never had a problem with that mobile app.

Need help

I was able to use the App for a week, my phone is up to date as is the app but once I log in all I can see is the logo. Ive tried restarting my phone and reloading the app. Nothing is working.

This app gets worse and worse. These guys couldnt write an app for a commodore vic20. The only feature that would make this so better is if it automatically deleted itself from my phone and gave me the wasted time back to my lifespan. I will summarize what every other review says. 1. Dont bother trying to fast forward 2. Downloaded content issues A. Audio sync issues B. Why does app need a network connection to play downloaded content? Forgot airplane mode. C. Video/audio sync issues 3. RW/FF controls are great for childlike fingers. You best be precise to use them. Assume you cant. 4. I have spent the last hour just trying to getting the channels to load. 5. Video abruptly stops playing frequently 6. Remote control constantly has to reacquire the receiver list 7. They have an "auto-prepare" feature that creates a downloadable version of your DVR recorded shows. THE SETTING SWITCH RANDOMLY TURNS ITSELF TO "OFF" 8. At random times, even if you reboot your DVR and then phone, you cannot access DVR recorded shows or an updated playlist. 9. They have a "NETWORK ASSISTANT" that crashes on my phone 100% of the time. My guess is ATT has all of their resources dedicated to improving the DIRECTV Now app, and are screwing us satellite TV subscribers by not incrementally updating like EVERY other tv provider!!

Worthless

Useless app! Cant watch anything at all. All I hear from AT&T is about all their great benefits.......that dont Fn work.

Disappointing

App works fine for me but imagine my disappointment when I found out that the only way to stream onto my tv would be to go purchase a brand new Apple TV 4 because my Apple TV 3 will not be given an update to make it work. Guess Ill be canceling my directv subscription seeing as how it is virtually useless and can only be used on my phone.

Very Buggy

Used to love the feature where I could download recorded shows on my DVR and watch them offline. Works great for when Im traveling or on a break at work. Last week or two I am no longer able to see the green arrow to download shows. I reinstalled the app and that fixed it once. Shouldnt have to do that. Tech support for the app seems to be nonexistent. Fix this!

Not working at all

App stopped working

I can login to my ATT or Directv account via web with no issues. Now I cant login on app or in iPhone settings>tv provider it gives me error that I am not authorized. Called support after 30 min still no resolution their idea was call back in a day or so. Not good customer service.

Recording issues

Every time I try to select a program or series to record on HBO, it defaults to HBO Latino channel, and I cannot change it! USELESS

Nice when it works

Not bad when it decides to let you watch something. Too many times it freezes and decides that you need to start the movie/tv show from the beginning with all of the commercials. If at&t has anything to do with the software Im not surprised.

Fox sports Detroit

I live in taylor Michigan. When I log into the app to catch a little bit of the Tigers MLB game I cant EVER be granted acces to this channel. Why? I dont understand. I went down to Alabama for spring break I could watch all the local fox sports channels. Am I doing something wrong? Ive allowed dtv app to access my goeloc while using the app. Please help.

Not Thrilled

The mobile app works about half the time. Not at all impressed!

Add apple cast is badly required!!!!

Works fine over all buy will badly require apple/chrome cast feature ASAP!!

One of the worst apps...

If I can get it to play what I want, it cuts out constantly and I have to start the process, which is extremely slow, all over. And Im constantly denied access with a message that comes up saying Im already live streaming from another device, when Im not. Very frustrating. ATT should have a better handle on technology. This app stinks

Local channels not found

I switched from Comcast to Directtv. Bait and switch here. Oh yes you can use all your devices to watch local tv. What a crock of crap. You lose internet connection to your dvr constantly then you have no local channels. I have yet to watch my tv, I would rather watch iphone or kindle. Directtv, CenturyLink and ATT need to get there ... together. Update the app so you can actually watch local channels across all devices. I will be going to a different provider when my contract is up. Not a happy customer....
