If there is something you absolutely cannot miss, record it on your player at home. Dont depend on this app to actually do anything it is supposed to do.
This app has great intentions but does not perform well. DVR access is something that works on and off. The app is very unstable and unreliable. Please improve this app and is functioning.
Very convenient
I used this app on my home wifi network to stream yankee games on the YES network while i was in my garage. It was working great up until about a week ago. Now i cant stream the YES network, CBS, or many other channels. It does work for some channels but not all. I pay a lot of $$$ to directv and for them to say i can stream all my channels on my device is just not correct right now. I was told when i called directvs ever so helpful tech support (sarcasm) that they were fixing this issue. Hope they fix this and i wasnt just told that to make me happy.
What a fail direct TV.... Something went recently.....
Advertising that you can take your recorded shows with you is dishonest at best. More likely false advertising. Shows (which I cant watch on my laptop because youre too lazy to do that tech work) wont download on my iPhone. Couldnt be worse.
I am so pleased with this app. Since I am able to stream, it frees up a lot of my time having to watch recorded tv. I love it.
Keep getting error message that receiver is in use or being used by other devices.
"Its your TV so take it with you". What a crock of you know what. The app wont connect all my channels away from home. It wont show most of my playlist either. What good is "data free TV" from AT&T if you cant watch what you want from your own channel list or recorded playlist? AT&T And DirecTV have no interest in fixing the app to make it work. No wonder their new Directv now streaming isnt any good from what I hear. Ive been a DirecTV customer for 21 years now and there technology is from 10 years ago it seems.
Its a great app with wifi, but without you can still watch selected shows and movies
Like the convenience to watch on the phone.
This app works about 25% of the time. Right now it wont see the recorded shows on my DVR. Crashes in the network section of the settings. Its a poor replacement for the old Genie go app and hardware.
DirecTv, I think you should spend less time pushing advertisements on your app and more time fixing it so it doesnt crash during every single show you try to watch from your DVR. Half the time the DVR list doesnt update to reflect what you actually have recorded. The other times, the app crashes in the middle of streaming. When you go to resume on the iPad after the crash it never picks up from where you left off. It starts the show over and prevents you from fast forwarding. Oh and you cant delete shows from the DVR via the app when you are done watching them. You are way behind the 8 ball on this. Other streaming services have these features plus many more.
After updating the app it will no longer log in. Once its finished logging in it only shows a screen with DIRECTV logo. I can no longer use the app.
Hire real app developers to work on this app. This app is ridiculously frustrating to use.
Incredibly awesome. The best thing youll ever see!
The UI could be engineered to be much more appealing and organized. Wont sync to my home DVR so that I can download shows. Yes, I meet system requirements and am connected properly.
The app never wants to work on my phone . It forgets my network every time . So everytime I open it it takes a few minutes to sync up with my box . It has never once worked with my Apple Watch . Very inconvienent . I always have to wait to use the remote control app it takes 5-10 minutes to get it working . If I close out the app to use my phone and want to return to use the remote control again . I have to wait another 5 minutes for it to sync up again . I want this app to work so bad but sadly its extremely faulty .
Literally doesnt do anything. Stays on DIRECTV logo screen. Nice job.
