Ever since I bundled I cant use the ap! Im so mad because I used it all the time when I just had Directv!!
direct tv streaming is awesome...i got to watch my shows for a sponsored data from att...though most of the time loading takes time...and they didnt include my tfc in the live streaming which i love most with direct tv?...
This app is horrible. I got new wifi equipment and needed to reconnect my dvr and then update the app. Why did that have to happen? After about 2 days I app was finally able to see the DVR on the network. But now it will not let me download from my dvr!!! It wont even let me chose the option to auto prepare. Its still saying "searching for dvr" although its showing my current dvr playlist. But the download link is grayed out and wont work. What is the purpose?!??!!! So frustrating!
I cannot watch local channels unless I contact support and waste 30min for them to fix it. Oh by the way the fix only lasts several days. Its not rocket surgery.
DIRECTV app is great when you dont want to miss a certain show no matter where you are located. Even greater because it is data free.

Use to work great until I opened it one day and I Had to sign in again. Now it just times out.
Just a little tip, logging out of your DirecTV subscription with in the settings menu, deleting the app and then re-logging in to the DIRECTV app sometimes seems to help when the app will not log you in a pond launch. It doesnt always work but it has resolve problems for me in the past. This application is truly an insult to every DirecTV subscriber. For the amount of money that we pay for the service, we should receive an app that is remotely stable between updates. I understand how development goes and that there will be bugs but this app has never been able to even maintain basic functionality throughout the many years Ive attempted to use it. Apparently these developers have no idea that people use this application to watch live TV. They must assume that its primary use is to control the in-home DVR. If that is the case, they should remove the live TV capabilities of this app.
This app was working in daily use until the update on 2/22/17. Now it will not open despite restarting, reloading, resetting phone , etc. It appears from the reviews others have had this same issue previously. With the exorbitant cost of paying for dozens of channels I neither watch nor want, DirecTV continues to try my patience. It has done nothing but go down hill since the ATT acquisition. UPDATE 6/20/17: Somewhere along the way it started working- sort of. Until, that is, the 6/17 update. Now it will not open. All I see is a static DTV logo after it begins to log in--which it never completes. This is on top of being charged for streaming even though ATT touted no data use streaming through the DTV app. Thievery, plain and simple. Goodbye ATT.
6/20/2017 Update...As of now the wont even open. I deleted it and reloaded it in the hope that would fix the problem. Nope, completely useless. It goes through its startup and leaves you staring at the DIRECTV logo. This was never a great app, at best it good, but now with the new update it has become useless. It crashes every time I try to open it. I deleted it and reinstalled it and worked the first time, froze and crashes every time I open it. I even installed it on my wifes iPhone and it has the same problem. So to DirecTV. Good job, NOT
The app logs me out and when I try to sign back in it says wrong password or user ID I reset the password and ID several times and still nothing. Please fix the issue. Other than that the app is still slow. And I have a I phone 7 plus so its not the phone.
0 stars.... it will not load anything. Ive uninstalled the app, powered my phone off, and closed the app. Still nothing ???
The app was working fine until today. I cant log in and all I get is the logo. Please fix the app!
Im very upset how it said my password expired and then when I enter my password it just stays on that black screen with the DIRECTV name and symbol ‼️ I need this fixed ASAP ‼️‼️‼️ until then its a two star not really that.
Wont let me log in - just a blank black screen. Tried multiple times deleted and reinstalled app a few times with no luck.
