The reason Im taking time to review this is because it is the worst! When you watch a show and have to stop in the middle, it doesnt save where youre at. You cant fast forward so you have to start at the beginning!! So frustrating!

The app is easy to use and very convenient when Im away from home.
The app is usable and am able to watch and stream content but the rest of the app could use some work. The stream quality is low and there is no option to raise it. Content sometimes doesnt load and shows error. In my opinion the user interface could look better. I would say this app is good to use if you really wanna watch a show otherwise use the actual tv.
I love watching "on the go" with my hectic schedule
After 10 attempts to use this app, Ive been able to get as far as logging in and starring at a black screen with a Direct TV logo. Thats it. Awesome.
I used to like the app, but now every time I open it, it just gets stuck on a black screen with the directv logo and nothing ever happens. I even tried reinstalling the app. Nothing. Please fix it!
Directly from the direct tv app it takes me to the AppStore do download the app that Im am currently using... Cmon direct tv, figure it out!
Doesnt load, will not let you login. So their promise to watch DirecTV anywhere you go is a lie. No app at all is better than this garbage.

Always been buggy, but now crashes constantly. How many complaints from CUSTOMERS will it take before they fix this app? Maybe if they get enough EX-CUSTOMERS that will get their attention......
Just signed up for DTV and tried to use the app on my iPhone 7plus and my iPad 4th gen. Plus a friend tried his Samsung GS8 and reading online it seems very common that the app just never properly connects. I get a black screen with the Directv logo that just sits there. Very poor support too as CS says to remove and re-add the app and no other fix. Frustrating that this has been a issue since at least Jan 2017 and now in Aug its still an issue.
Records what I want, when I want. Easy to use.
Havent had the app long, but everything is good so far. Id give it 4 stars if it was easier to navigate.

2 years later, this has not improved. The app is filled with confusing, useless features that have no relevance and obscure the features and functions that are useful. Also, a lane feature of DirecTV is carried over into the App-you cant schedule recording a new series when the network starts promoting it ; you have to wait until some undisclosed time just before it starts airing. This App used to be easy to use to schedule recordings away from home. Now it is impossible to figure out how to do this. It is not intuitive, theres is no explanation or menu item, such as "schedule recordings" and when you search on a show that you want to record, all that appears are past episodes that are available on demand. Also, there does not appear to be a help function in the App. This lame app has regressed from previous versions.

Several weeks ago I signed up for DirectTV and used the mobile app with no problem. Then all of a sudden, I got the "DIRECTV Black Screen of Death". All that shows up on my phone is their logo. Ive called several times and even taken it back into an AT&T store. They were all stymied. Their only suggestion was to blame my phone, and tell me to take it to an Apple Store. Havent done that yet because I dont think thats the problem. I think THEY ARE, but I will go tomorrow just to cover my bases. Why would my phone suddenly start hating JUST THAT APP?!?!? Well see........
Love it, not sure why under one section it shows my receivers but under a different section it dont.
