DIRECTV App Reviews

I used to love this app back a few years ago. But for about two or three years now its been useless.No matter what screen Im on, whether its the guide, "settings," etc., within 30 seconds Im taken back to the main screen showing whats now playing on my tv and your featured shows. This makes it impossible to browse the listings and to set a show to record. Ive complained about this to "support" many times but nobody can come up with a fix. BTW, if I install this app on my iPad, it behaves the same way. Im not only running the latest iOS software but also, always have the latest model iPhone, currently "iPhone 7." I had the iPhone 6 when the problem started. Ive rebooted the phone, have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and cleared out the cache but nothing works. I know Ive seen other reviews describing this problem. So why cant you people find a fix for it?

All you get is a black screen with the DIRECTV logo. Called customer support and all they could say was "yes it says here this is a problem for a lot of our customers"

App does not work!!! This is so frustrating and inconvenient! So over directv and Ive only had it for a week.

DirecTV app is very user-friendly. I love having access to my TV shows while Im not at home. Thank you Directv.

But wish we could check and see what was getting recorded that day. And see priority. Kinda hard to search through everything. But love Directv and the app works great for the most part. Just needs some Tweaking.

Latest update has totally broken the app. You login and then it brings up the logo and just stays there!

Have not been able to access the app. After logging in screen goes black and nothing else happens

I had much higher expectations for the DIRECTV app with all their commercials and now being owned by such a high quality company like at&t, the app fails on my iPad at least once during each episode of on demand I watch. The iPad version is even worse, I can NEVER get the closed captioning to turn on because the button never "presses" or any of the "buttons" on the iPad version for that matter. I hate writing reviews the fact Im taking my time at 1:04am on a Wednesday night to write a 1 star review says a lot. This app is terrible quality especially for such a big brand name. Get it together DIRECTV.

I try and watch my favorite show every Wednesday and with no luck I get an error code of 3100 that has something to do with network issues. This problem has been around for 2 or more years now and yet DIRECTV does not seem to care about fixing it. I believe that is considered fraud when you are paying for something they say works and works really well but does not seem to actually work at all. I will be switching to a new tv provider because this is not what I pay for when I want to watch my tv shows when Im not at home

I love this app allowing me to stream when doing things in house when I cant see the tv and I love being able to see my recorded shows on the go

I use this app twice a day! It is also a great remote control .

What if you do not want to upgrade your iPhone to iOS 9. I guess you are screwed right !!!!!! No stars ,should be a minus 8
