No video feed

No video feed pops up when I change a channel. I have to turn off tv then turn on to then watch the show I changed to. A bit ridiculous. One positive we are weaning off watching so much tv. Also seems strange that direct tv works so well on highway streaming yet can glitch in home doesnt make sense. Also no tv during rain storm. But can click over to recorded show and can view another show just not if a tornado might be coming
